Our Pastor

Rev. Jeff Contreras grew up in Delavan, WI. He attended Darien and Turtle Creek Elementary Schools, Phoenix Middle School, and went on to graduate from Delavan-Darien High School in 2003. It was during his sophomore year of high school that Jeff’s life was forever changed. In December of 2000, he attended an Apostolic church for the very first time. In that service, God miraculously filled Jeff with the gift of the Holy Spirit and he was baptized in Jesus’ Name. From that moment on, Jeff has never been the same. God delivered him from a life of partying, drinking, and drug use. Those things were replaced with a burning desire to share God’s truth and love with this lost generation. Over the next several years, Jeff continued to learn and grow in the Lord. He served in many different positions at the Rock of Jesus Church including Sunday School Teacher, Bible Study Teacher, Youth Pastor, and Associate Pastor. God also blessed Jeff with a powerful music ministry. In 2007, he recorded his first Christian album, Are You Ready. In the same year, Jeff received his minister’s license from the United Pentecostal Church International.On October 27th, 2007, he married Ashley, the daughter of Rev. Richard Thomas from Madison, WI. Growing up in a pastor’s home, Ashley was taught at a young age to have a love for people and to serve others. For over five years, she ran a bus ministry in a low-income area of Madison, bringing dozens of children and families to Sunday school each week.Today, Jeff and Ashley reside in Darien, WI, with their two dogs, Nellie and Zuzu. In addition to serving as Pastor of the Rock of Jesus Church, Jeff also works full-time at a local bank. Ashley works full-time in the Delavan-Darien School District as the Community Outreach Coordinator. They also both serve as mentors to several struggling teens in the community.Pastor Contreras and his wife are dedicated to God and to serving their community. They have committed their lives to the cause of Christ and can’t wait for what He has in store for their future and the future of the Church!
